High Frequency Test Cables Now Available in New Product Line

18Ghz Test Cables

Test grade cables are desired in applications where multiple connector attachment and continuous flexing demands are a priority. RF Industries now offers a line of 18GHz precision test cables in standard or custom lengths, suitable for production or lab environments. Featuring high-grade, passivated, stainless steel SMA males with PTFE insulators, this unique cable is configured for low loss and low VSWR. With triple shielding for optimum EMI protection, they are very phase-stable during mechanical and environmental stresses. The cable is also manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-17, type IX specification. Other features include high velocity of propagation, wide operating temperature and blue FEP jacket. Armored versions for rugged field applications are also available. RF Industries created these test cables to meet a growing need for test grade cable assemblies.

Electrical data is: 50 Ohms impedance, 23.8 pf/ft capacitance, 85% Vp, better than -95 dB shielding effectiveness, -55 to +200C operating temperature and -.50 @ 18GHz dB/ft attenuation.

Kit combines precision 3.5mm adapters for high frequency applications

P2RFA-4031-01

The P2RFA-4031-01 kit features three 3.5mm precision adapters added to the RF Connector product line for use in microwave and RF applications. All 3.5mm adapters in this series have 50 ohm impedance and are made of non-magnetic, 303 stainless steel with beryllium copper contacts, supported with a bead configuration. They are designed to operate up to 34 GHz with a VSWR rating of 1.05+.006 f (f-GHz) max, and have the same electrical length. 3.5mm series coaxial connectors and adapters inter-mate with SMA and 2.9mm connectors and are used primarily on test equipment. Female contacts feature a four-slot configuration, ensuring that pressure is distributed evenly during the engagement of the male pin, a design which, when combined with a shortened male pin, eliminates misalignment during engagement.

Adapters in the kit include P2RF35M-35M-00000 male-to-male, P2RF35F-35F-00000 female-to-female, and P2RF35M-35F-00000 male-to-female. The adapters are housed in a compact, foam-lined, zippered case for convenience and protection of the components when not in use.

Cellular 7-16 DIN Adapters Available in Kit

P2RFA-4013

Technicians in the cellular, PCS, GPS and digital communications fields are finding more requirements for 7-16 DIN adapters. For cellular communications, the 7-16 DIN offers technical advantages over the N or SMA connector interfaces. Capable of carrying high power at high frequencies, 7-16 DINs are larger, more precise, offering more stable electrical and mechanical connections with tighter tolerances and improved VSWR performance. The P2RFA-4013 adapter kit offers a convenient means to bridge type N devices to 7-16 DIN interfaces on the test-bench and in the field.

This foam lined, zippered kit contains six adapters: P2RFD-1652-2 (7-16 DIN Male to 7-16 DIN Female R/A adapter); P2RFD-1653-2 (7-16 DIN Female to 7-16 DIN Female barrel adapter); P2RFD-1670-2 (7-16 DIN Male to N Male adapter); P2RFD-1671-2 (7-16 DIN Male to N Female adapter); P2RFD-1672-2 (7-16 DIN Female to N Male adapter); and P2RFD-1673-2 (7-16 DIN Female to N Female adapter). All are made of machined brass and feature Teflon® insulation and silver-plated contacts and bodies for minimal intermodulation generation.
