Low PIM .141 Conformable Cable Assemblies, Alternative to Semi-Rigid for Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Installations
Standard semi-rigid .141 cable assemblies with a solid jacket metal shield offer excellent electrical and low PIM performance. For installations with cable bends, special equipment is required to form the cable, requiring advance planning and longer lead times.
RF Industries conformable semi-rigid cable assemblies are manufactured with tin filled, braided outer conductor that exhibits similar electrical properties to solid semi-rigid, but can be hand formed in the field with no degradation in electrical or PIM performance. The cable has a diameter of .141 inches with a protective insulated blue jacket. The assemblies are available terminated with N male and/or QMA male connectors. Assemblies are available in standard lengths of 3, 6 and 9 feet or custom lengths. They have a VSWR of under 1.2:1 up to 2,400 MHz with an operating frequency up to 3,000 MHz. The PIM rating is less than -155 dBc for the N male connectors and -145 dBc for the QMA male connectors using 2 tones at 20 watts.
All low PIM cable assemblies manufactured by RF Industries are tested to certify they meet or exceed the advertised specifications. The PIM value is printed on the cable assembly along with a serial number. For verification, a complete PIM performance chart is available by entering the cable serial number in PIM Tracker™ on the RF Industries website.
For plenum rated requirements, RF Industries manufactures assemblies using
Times Microwave TFT-402-LF cable.

Plenum Rated, Low Loss, Low PIM, Flexible Coaxial Cable Assemblies for In-Building DAS Applications.
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) installations in buildings use large numbers of coaxial cable assemblies with special requirements. The assemblies need to efficiently transfer the RF signal (low loss), reduce the occurrence of interference caused by intermodulation (low PIM), fit into tight mechanical spaces (flexible) and meet building fire codes (plenum rated). Most coaxial cable assemblies meet some of these requirements, but fall short of meeting them all.
RF Industries offers coaxial cable assemblies with Times Microwave SPP-250-LLPL™ and TFT-402-LF plenum rated, low loss, low PIM, flexible cables that meet all these requirements for an in-building DAS coaxial assembly. The SPP-250-LLPL™ is a small diameter corrugated cable. The TFT-402-LF is an extremely flexible, low minimum bend radius cable. Both cables meet UL910 fire requirements and exhibit low loss and low PIM performance.
Cable assemblies are available in standard and custom lengths terminated with RF Industries brand or Times Microwave brand RF connectors. Connector terminations include 7-16 DIN male, 4.1-9.5 (Mini) DIN male, N male and SMA male. RF Industries applies high standards of manufacturing techniques and tooling with 100% final testing for electrical and PIM performance to assure every cable assembly meets the advertised specifications.

Connector Saver with Stainless Steel Coupling Nut Reduces Testing Expense
7-16 DIN CONNECTORS are large format 50 ohm interfaces designed for high power wireless telecommunications applications such as antennas, base stations, and satellite communications.
Test ports are subject to minimal wear each time the connector interface is coupled and de-coupled. Contact pins and dielectrics can be damaged if connectors are misaligned during coupling. It is far more cost effective to introduce a "connector saver" adapter as the adapter mated directly to the test port adapter. One mating cycle on the test port to five hundred or more on the connector saver increases the testing life of the test port. Any misaligned matings will damage the connector saver, not the test port interface.
The P2RFD-1660-SS low loss, low VSWR, precision adapter performs this function when testing 7-16 DIN connectors and assemblies. After carefully installing the P2RFA-1660-SS on the test port, hundreds of tests, even PIM testing (requiring greater torque per test to insure proper ground) can be performed before wear requires replacement. The P2RFD-1660-SS adapter is machined to exacting specifications with a white bronze plated body and stainless steel coupling nut for tarnish free service.

Precision 26.5 GHz Phase Stable Cables Offer Accurate RF and Microwave Measurements
Test grade cables are a must for RF applications. The test cables serve as the extension of the equipment’ test ports. They provide flexibility for measuring cable assemblies or other microwave devices. It is vital to system performance that they remain stable when subjected to environmental or mechanical stresses. Phase stable cables have triple shielding with low loss dielectric and high temp jacketing to minimize the phase effects when flexed multiple times. The connectors are made of rugged stainless steel for extended attachment and feature a strain relief support designed for armoring as an option. RF Precision Products now offers such cables for applications up to 26.5 GHz. Test charts included. Off the shelf lengths are as follows. Custom lengths are available.
RF Precision Products designs and manufactures precision grade, high frequency stainless steel connectors and adapters for OEM, military and metrology labs.
Test Grade 7-16 Adapters have Stainless Steel Coupling Nuts for harsh test environments
7-16 DIN to N adapters are highly desired in applications such as base station Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing. Portable Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) analyzers require rugged adapters that withstand varying field environments while maintaining error correction ratios. White Bronze plating offers a tarnish free non-magnetic solution with electrical performance rivaling Silver plated products. Stainless steel coupling nuts allow repetitive torque settings of 18 ft-lbs minimum for DIN males and 30 in-lbs maximum for N males. These adapters have extremely low insertion loss, excellent VSWR and low PIM performance which makes them the adapter of choice for PIM and TDR analyzers. All adapters in the series are tested in-house to 8 GHz and up to 13 GHz on selected models. Test charts included with each adapter.

Kit combines precision 3.5mm adapters for high frequency applications
The RFA-4031-01 kit features three 3.5mm precision adapters added to the RF Connector product line for use in microwave and RF applications. All 3.5mm adapters in this series have 50 ohm impedance and are made of non-magnetic, 303 stainless steel with beryllium copper contacts, supported with a bead configuration. They are designed to operate up to 34 GHz with a VSWR rating of 1.05+.006 f (f-GHz) max, and have the same electrical length. 3.5mm series coaxial connectors and adapters inter-mate with SMA and 2.9mm connectors and are used primarily on test equipment. Female contacts feature a four-slot configuration, ensuring that pressure is distributed evenly during the engagement of the male pin, a design which, when combined with a shortened male pin, eliminates misalignment during engagement.
Adapters in the kit include
The adapters are housed in a compact, foam-lined, zippered case for convenience and protection of the components when not in use.
